Susan Alt
Susan has
taught ballet and tap to adults for more than twenty years. She has studied
with Tatiana Babushkina of the Lithuanian State
Ballet, Ana Roje of the Yugoslav Ballet Theater, and
other renowned Boston and New York dancers. She lives in Cambridge with her two
beloved cats. |

Jane arsham
Jane Arsham, has been studying T’ai Chi and Chi Kung
for 14 years and teaching for seven years. She is currently
one of the primary instructors for a Harvard research
project investigating the
benefits of T’ai Chi for heart
health. Jane is
a certified instructor of Tai Chi Chuan an
continues her studies with T’ai Chi/Chi Kung Master
Arthur Goodridge. |

TERESA BOUGHNER
Since a formative
trip to Japan 25 years ago, Teresa Boughner has
devoted herself to education for disease prevention through exercise and diet.
In addition to receiving her Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education – Exercise
Science, Teresa attended the American Center for Creative and Performing Arts
in Boston. Her love of theater permeates her teaching style.
Teresa has enjoyed teaching Yoga Stretch in Huron Village for ten
years. She also teaches at YMCAs in the greater Boston area, The Stanley
Senior Center in Waltham and the Waltham Athletic Club. For over 15 years, she
has managed health and wellness programs, mostly for seniors. In addition to
working as an independent wellness and exercise contractor, Teresa is currently
managing wellness activities for the Rogerson Communities.

Portia Brockway
Portia is known throughout the Cambridge community as an effective progenitor of Hatha Yoga
practices within a philosophical framework. Thousand of students have entered the
continuum through Yoga’s doors of perception leaving the room refreshed, relaxed, ecstatic.
Portia Brockway is a certified Kripalu Yoga instructor and has been teaching Yoga since 1993.
She began Yoga at the age of three under her father’s tutelage in the tradition of Sri Ramakrishna,
Indian saint and mystic, 1836 – 86, in Darien, CT. She is also trained as a Thai Yoga therapist, which she offers privately, and in group format.

Kathleen Curran Cheng
Kathleen strongly believes that practicing Pilates can
bring positive changes to your body, including strengthened abdominal and back
muscles, improved alignment, increased flexibility and heightened body
awareness. She has taught and trained at many local studios and clubs
and has numerous years of working in the fitness business.
Kathleen is certified in Stott Pilates Mat and Reformer Level 1, as well
as Stott Cadillac, Chair and Barrel (CCB). She holds a Master’s Degree in Cardiovascular Health and
Exercise from Northeastern University and a BFA in Dance from the Boston
Conservatory.
When not instructing or training, Kathleen enjoys living a healthy
lifestyle, reading, creatively cooking vegetarian meals and spending time with
her family. |

Louise Cocuzzo
Louise has been teaching health and exercise
classes for over 25 years. She teaches classes at various health facil-
ities and
is also a personal trainer. Louise is trained as a registered nurse, specializing in orinopedics. Currently,
she is studying for a degree in counseling.
Louise is certified by the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America
as both a fitness instructor and personal trainer. |

Gail Fanning
Gail Fanning-Grove has been teaching dance and movement for over 25 years to students of all ages. She believes you can heal your body through movement. Her approach to teaching is to incorporate the whole person and to help guide students to work within their own personal range of motion. She is a certified Pilates instructor and has studied the Alexander Technique extensively with Tommy Thompson. In addition, Gail has assisted physical therapists and movement therapists at Boston area hospitals and rehabilitation centers, and has attended various workshops on sports and dance medicine. Gail is a dancer, choreographer and teacher of modern dance and classical ballet. She is a graduate of the Boston Conservatory and holds a B.F.A. in dance with a concentration in choreography, pedagogy, and Laban Movement Analysis. |

Rose Giovanetti
Rose has been torturing people, young
and old, with leg lifts and tummy crunches for over three decades. From
her humble origins as a high-impact aerobic bunny who nearly destroyed her own
body, she has learned to nurture and nourish humans with a number of techniques,
including Pilates, yoga, Reiki and massage. Her lifelong study of dance includes
training at Jacob's Pillow and more than 20 years of tap dance, learning and
performing alongside master artists. Singing and breath work round out her holistic approach to training people of all shapes, sizes,
and ages. |

Camille Kittrell
Camille has more than twenty years of
experience as a fitness and yoga instructor. She is an Exercise Consultant for Massachusetts General
Hospital and has developed yoga practices for those with Parkinson’s, fibromyalgia, arthritis, heart disease, and other health challenges. In 2003,
she launched her innovative yoga classes safely tailored
for breast cancer survivors. Camille has been featured
on NPR, as well as Boston’s Channel 4 News and in Vogue Magazine.
Camille leads instructor trainings for cardiac rehab and breast cancer
recovery nationwide. Her DVD “Gentle Yoga for Recovery & Beyond” is based
on the workshop she presents at the annual Celebration of Life event, sponsored
by Beth Israel Deaconness Medical Center and Harvard
Medical School.
She is certified by the American Council on Exercise and Integrative
Yoga Therapy.

Valery, an alumni of the St. Louis Conservatory,
is a tap/jazz dance teacher, choreographer and performer.

SANDY MIGLIACCIO
Sandy studied dance, theater and English literature
at UCLA. She has taught and performed for over 30 years
in the Los Angeles
& Boston areas. In Boston, she has
taught dance, movement & exercise at
Harvard University, Franklin School for the performing arts, Newton Arts Center,
Boston Center for Adult Education, Studio Sporer, Cambridge
Center for Adult Education, as well as Village Fitness. She marks her 20th year teaching exercise
in Cambridge. |

Jess Perkins
Jess is a Cambridge-based personal trainer with more than 14 years experience in the fitness industry. Her dynamic approach, boundless energy and natural connection with people set her apart. She teaches Zumba, Zumba toning and Fitness for Brides, as well as one-on-one personal training.
Before starting her own business, Shape Up Personal Training, Jess taught classes for Healthworks Fitness Centers.

Sergio Vince has been a valued teacher for Beacon Hill Village and Cambridge At Home, since their inception. He also teaches in Arlington, Belmont and at other Boston locations. Sergio specializes in yoga and Pilates, and provides needed individualized instruction for both new and experienced exercisers. |

Nina Williams
Nina began dancing at the age of six. Her dance back-
ground greatly
influences her fitness instruction. Her classes flow beautifully, and exercise
every part of
the body.
Nina studied ballet dancing through high school, spent one year at a
Pittsburgh dance college, and moved to New York City. There she studied ballet,
jazz and modern dance. She was a scholarship student at the Alvin Ailey School’s Jazz Dance Company, and studied modern dance with Murray Jonis and Alwin Nikolais.
In 1981, Nina moved to Cambridge, Massachusetts, and began teaching at
the Sporer Studio and later at Le Pli Health Spa. After leaving to raise a family, she continues
to teach dance and exercise in Cambridge. |
